Global- Cold
War to Present Day--- Students will be closing out Global History with lessons
on the major events of modern times. The rise and fall of Communism, Apartheid
and Computer age issues will close out Global to be followed by Regents and RCT
exam prep./review in June.
Health/ Phys.ed./Work
Study
---Health-
Teen issues-Dangers of Marijuana, alcohol, smoking continued. Students will
pick an issue of importance to them for research. A discussion of causes and
solutions will follow. As much as possible, health classes through June will
include outdoor activities such as canoeing and hiking in order to encourage
the students to use their free time fruitfully and to take advantage of their
surroundings.
---Phys.
Ed.-Weather permitting, softball will continue .Canoeing will begin the 23rd
following some basic canoe safety discussion. Life jackets will be provided and
required.
---Work
Study-Continuing at the Adirondack Folk School when needed.
